AEW to stage first wrestling show at Target Field after Twins game
All Elite Wrestling will hold its first event at Target Field in Minneapolis on July 10. The show follows a Minnesota Twins game against the Los Angeles Angels at the same venue.
The event, called Brawl in the Ballpark, marks the first collaboration between AEW and Major League Baseball. AEW chief executive Tony Khan said the company is pleased to work with the Twins for the occasion and to present its programming in a new setting.
AEW previously held an event at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The organization continues to schedule appearances outside traditional indoor arenas.
Twins executive vice president Sean Moore said the partnership aims to create additional experiences for fans visiting the ballpark. AEW's next pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing, is scheduled for Sunday in New York.
