Perfect Game's All-American Classic is coming to Philadelphia for America's 250th anniversary
Perfect Game schedules All-American Classic at Phillies' park in 2026
Perfect Game will stage its All-American Classic at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET. The event marks the premier showcase of the world's largest baseball scouting organization. Perfect Game CEO Rob Ponger highlighted the tie to America's 250th anniversary, calling it "stars, stripes and prospects."
The Classic features the top 60 high school baseball players in the United States. Many past participants have advanced to first-round MLB draft selections and major league careers, including Phillies slugger Bryce Harper and pitcher Zack Wheeler, Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., Baltimore Orioles infielder Gunnar Henderson and New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor.
Philadelphia's historical role in the nation's founding adds resonance, Ponger said. "It's also the 250th anniversary of America, right? Philadelphia, Philly, it's like stars, stripes and prospects, right? 1776 to 2026, America was born 250 years ago and the future stars of baseball are born at this event," he told reporters. Former Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, architect of the 2008 World Series title and the franchise's winningest skipper, serves as honorary chairman.
The weekend includes the PG All-Star Game on Friday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. ET, and the Launch Hydrate Home Run Challenge on Saturday, Aug. 15. Ponger emphasized lasting memories for players and families amid the patriotic setting. "These kids are going to be making moments that will last their lifetime... when that national anthem plays before the game, you just take a step back and again the relevance of it being the 250th anniversary of America."
